We, here at Colvin Electric, understand there is a lot of uncertainty around the Covid-19 pandemic and what is to come because of it.

First and foremost, we want to assure our customers that our service department will continue to remain open, even in the event of a Shelter-In-Place Order, as we are considered an essential service. Of course, keeping your electrical system safe and operational is going to be very important during these times. Especially, with many of you out there working from home. If anyone experiences an electrical emergency, please don’t hesitate to call us. We will do everything, within our power, to make sure you get taken care of as quickly as possible.

Secondly, we would like to ask that if you are experiencing any illness, or symptoms of one, that you postpone requesting services, or reschedule if you already have an appointment, unless of course, you have a true emergency. If our technicians see that someone in the household is experiencing any symptoms of an illness they will ask to reschedule the appointment unless in an emergency situation. In which case, we ask that the person/people with those symptoms maintain as far a distance as possible from the technician and the area they are working in. We are trying to keep our technicians as safe as we possibly can being out there on the front lines. Also, by keeping our techs out of harms way we are also protecting our community as they have many other customers, and their families, that they have to come into contact with.

Lastly, we will ensure that our technicians are following the strictest of standards to make sure you, your family and property are kept safe. Such as…

-Maintaining a 6 ft. distance from all people in the house.
-Wearing a new pair of clean shoe covers on every call.
-Wearing a new pair of clean gloves on every call.
-Using hand sanitation practices both before and after glove use with soap and water and a disposable paper towel. We ask that customers provide technicians with a place to properly wash hands upon entering the property.
-Using sanitizing wipes to clean all surfaces we come in contact with.
-Wearing safety glasses throughout their time on the property.
-We would also like for our technicians to use face masks, but unfortunately, with the shortage and unavailability of them, we are unable to do so at this time. If you have a mask that you would like our techs to use while on your property, please provide them with one and we will be happy to use it.

We know that this is a stressful time for our communities, but rest assured that Colvin Electric is here for you and all your electrical needs, and will do our part to help get through this together! Thank you and stay safe!
